To celebrate the upcoming premiere the cast and over 400 guests gathered at NYC’s Kiss And Fly for a private screening and party.

Yandy Smith, Joe Budden, Tahiry Jose, Erica Mena, Rich Dollaz, Consequence, Jen the Pen, Raqi Thunda, Lore’l, Winter Ramos and Rashidah Ali were all in attendance. Olivia missed the festivities due to being in Italy, but Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wives made an appearance. We had one-on-one girl talk with Tahiry, Yandy and Winter.

Tahiry
On whether she’s still in love with Joe: “I love Joe as a person, as an individual. There’s no way shape or form that anybody can be with somebody for such a long time, especially in their most important parts of their lives, or stages of lives that you go through that you know, you don’t have certain people that become permanent fixtures in your life. Do I want to be with him? No.”

Yandy
On her relationship with Jim Jones and Chrissy: “I don’t have one. We went our separate ways. I’m super happy. Do you know the day that I quit I got pregnant that week, and we had been trying for a long time to have a baby? I never saw Jim as my end-all be-all because I was doing so many other things, but he was definitely a high priority…catering to his drama and fixing and doing damage control took up a lot of my time. It’s really good to sleep at night and have my phones on vibrate.”
Thoughts on Love And Hip Hop Atlanta: “... I love down Rasheeda, I love down Ariane, I love down Mimi, I love down Joseline.”

Winter
On life after resigning as Fabolous’s assistant: “I was Fab’s assistant for three years and I couldn’t see my life without working for him. Then when you stop you’re like, s—, there was a whole ‘nother world out here that I was missing because I’m so busy catering to him.”

Final words: “Love And Hip Hop is not about sleeping with hip-hop artists. Love and Hip Hop is — we can work in this music industry and love hip-hop as women and be in love with it just as much as if you’re in love with an artist who’s involved in it. As women, we get money too.”

#BOSTON In State Of Emergency As Flu Cases Rise!

Since October 1, there have been 700 confirmed influenza cases among Boston residents, according to Menino's office; that's 10 times more than were seen in all of last year's flu season.

 

State public health officials are reporting 18 flu-related deaths in Massachusetts already this season and the city of Boston has declared a public health emergency.

 

Menino is collaborating with the Boston Public Health Commission and community health centers to offer free vaccination clinics this weekend. The mayor urged residents to stay home from work or school if they are sick, and to get their flu shots.(CNN)

 

 

"This is the worst flu season we've seen since 2009, and people should take the threat of flu seriously," Menino said in a statement. More than 4% of emergency department visits at Boston hospitals are from flu cases, up from 1% during non-flu season.

 

Governor Deval Patrick also urged people to get vaccinated.
“This is serious; there is a heightened level of flu activity across the state,” Patrick said at a press conference. “But we’re prepared.’’

 

Boston public health officials placed robocalls to nearly 45,000 residents, including 27,000 senior citizens, urging those who have not been vaccinated to contact their doctor or visit a free clinic this weekend. The city has arranged for flu shots to be offered for free at 21 community health centers across Boston. (For a list, go to www.cityofboston.gov.)

 

 

Beyonce Announces Destiny's Child Reunion PLUS GQ Cover Photos!

   

 

Beyonce Knowles  threw us all a shocker today! She announced a new Destiny's Child reunion album.

Beyonce revealed the well-kept secret on her Facebook page:

 

"I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years!" the songstress wrote along with a link to pre-order the album. The album is currently titled, "Love Songs,"

The album will be available January 29, 2013 and is on pre-order for $9.00. According to the press release, the album is full of Destiny's Child most classic love songs, with only 1 new original song by the trio:

"Comprised mainly of romantic gems recorded between 1997 and 2004, Love Songs features "Nuclear," the first new Destiny's Child recording since 2004."

Oprah's Interview With Lance Armstrong January 17!

(CNN) --

Lance Armstrong will give his first television interview since being stripped of his Tour de France titles to Oprah Winfrey, her network announced Tuesday.

Winfrey will ask the disgraced cycling star to address the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's report, which said there was overwhelming evidence he was directly involved in a sophisticated doping program, the statement said.

 

The International Cycling Union, which choose not to appeal the USADA's lifetime ban, stripped Armstrong of his record seven Tour victories in October.

 

The show will broadcast on Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. EST on OWN and Oprah.com.

Parents-to-be Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently dropped a $11 million on a brand-new mansion in Bel Air, Calif., TMZ is reporting.

The 14,000 square-foot property is currently under construction, and is being redesigned as an Italian villa-style home.

Why Animal Rights?

 

Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. Many of us bought our beloved “pets” at pet shops, had guinea pigs, and kept beautiful birds in cages. We wore wool and silk, ate McDonald’s burgers, and fished. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights?

 

In his book Animal Liberation, Peter Singer states that the basic principle of equality does not require equal or identical treatment; it requires equal consideration. People often ask if animals should have rights, and quite simply, the answer is “Yes!” Animals surely deserve to live their lives free from suffering and exploitation. “The question is not ‘Can they reason?’ nor ‘Can they talk?’ but ‘Can they suffer?’”  All animals have the ability to suffer in the same way and to the same degree that humans do. They feel pain, pleasure, fear, frustration, loneliness, and motherly love - we are morally obligated to take them into account.

Supporters of animal rights believe that animals have an inherent worth—a value completely separate from their usefulness to humans. We believe that every creature with a will to live has a right to live free from pain and suffering. Animal rights is not just a philosophy—it is a social movement that challenges society’s traditional view that all nonhuman animals exist solely for human use. As PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk has said, “When it comes to pain, love, joy, loneliness, and fear, a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy. Each one values his or her life and fights the knife.”

Only prejudice allows us to deny others the rights that we expect to have for ourselves. Whether it’s based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or species, prejudice is morally unacceptable. If you wouldn’t eat a dog, why eat a pig? Dogs and pigs have the same capacity to feel pain, but it is prejudice based on species that allows us to think of one animal as a companion and the other as dinner or a new jacket for that matter.

Please don't support cruelty to animals. Many great retailers such as Ralph Lauren, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, J.Crew, Talbots, Wet Seal, Express, and Limited Brands  in have already made the kind decision to go fur-free.

Housewives ATL: Kenya's Boyfriend Walter Says Their Relationship Was Faked!

 

Uh-Oh, realitywives.net has reported:

Walter Jackson (boyfiend of Kenya Moore on Real Housewives of ATL) told Frank Ski and Wanda Smith on V103, that they did date for three months three years ago. They lost touch but then in April, Kenya sent him a text and said she was coming to Atlanta.

“I was kind of surprised,” he said.
She told him, “I’m going to be doing this show. What do you think of reality TV?”

Walter: “I don’t know. That’s kind of a stretch there.”
Kenya: “What if you play my boyfriend on the show?”

Jackson said he asked some friends if he should do it. They told him he should enjoy the 15 minutes of fame.

Kenya: “It’s just like acting”.

He was surprised when he found out she kept pushing marriage on the show. She later claimed in the press that the reason he didn’t marry her was because he’s gay. He denied that to Ski and Smith. “I”m well established here. Gay has never been in the block,” he said. “Why she would say that, I don’t know.”

 

Walter is now dating a younger woman. He wasn’t cheating on Kenya as they were never dating in the first place.

He said they portrayed him as is. “I’m laid back, they did a great job. I’m not here to bash the show. The producers had no idea they were faking it. It was our secret.”

 

Kenya’s response:

Nicki Minaj Returns To Twitter (Again)...

 

Ok all you Barbz, Nicki Minaj is back!

“MAY YOU HAVE A HAPPY, BLESSED, AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!! MMMMUUUUAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!” tweeted Nicki in her first tweet since December 5th. “*kisses my babies* Hi Barbz!!!!!!! muah! muah! mmmmuuuaaahhhh!!!! LOVE U!!!! What’s been going on?!?!?!!?”

Last April, she deleted her Twitter account with about 10 mil followers, only to reinstate it weeks later. But this time she insists her absence wasn’t deliberate but "sabbatical".

"I didn't leave barbz, I was still here in spirit and u guys KNOW that so stop with the dramatics!!! LMAO. come sit in my lap." the Young Money rapstress tweeted after dissapearing from social media for nearly a month. Her twitter account remained silent shortly after going on a series of rants, first against Steven Tyler for his supposedly racist "American Idol" comments and then major retailers Walmart and Target for sweeping "Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up" off shelves.

"Coincidentally" she's returned just in time for the premiere of American Idol, which airs Jan. 9 at on FOX.

Say What??! A Joe Biden Reality Show!

A petition on the White House website calls for a weekly reality TV featuring Biden at his finest moments.

The petition reads as follows:

Vice President Joe Biden has a demonstrated ability to bring people together, whether at the negotiating table or at the neighborhood diner. We, therefore, urge the Obama Administration to authorize the production of a recurring C-SPAN television program featuring the daily activities and interactions of the Vice President with elected officials, foreign dignitaries and everyday American families. Such a program would educate the American public about the duties and responsibilities of their Vice President, while providing a glimpse of the lighthearted side of politics even in the midst of contentious and divisive national debates.

The petition comes one day after Biden’s swearing-in of senators went viral, where he hugged senators’ mothers, doled out dating advice and made an awkward joke about being frisked. If the petition receives 25,000 signatures in one month, the White House will respond to the request.
